How to Make a Poinsettia Wreath
Items needed:
Red and green construction paper
Paper Plate
Glue
Stapler
Instructions:
Cut out 14 GREEN patterns.
Using 2 red and one green
flower cut outs, place the two red ones together so that all the petals
are visible.
Add the green leaves behind the two red petals and
adjust until you have something like in the picture. Staple
together.
Using a paper plate, cut out the center so you are left
only with the outer ring.
Cover half of the ring with white glue
and then start adding the poinsettias to create a wreath.

Holiday Wreath Ideas
If you are looking for the perfect holiday wreath for your front
door or even for your dining table, you really do not need to go any
further than your own back yard.
While the traditional
Christmas wreath is made from evergreen branches, you can make a holiday
wreath from just about anything. Depending on where you live, you may or
may not have something blooming in your garden during the holiday
season. Regardless of what your outdoor conditions are like, you can
gather the bounty of your garden to create the perfect Christmas
wreath.
Herbs blooming in
your garden, and rosemary or lavender each will make a
beautiful wreath and a fragrant one as well.
Use a wire or foam base to shape your wreath, or in the
case of the classic evergreen branches, you may simply shape your wreath
from the branches themselves.
If you have a holly bush in your garden then not
only will the greenery make a lovely wreath, but you can use the berries
to add a little pop of color to the wreath as well.
In warmer climates you can use
heavenly bamboo to shape a colorful wreath and adorn it
with the plant's winter, red berries also.
If you grow grapevines or rose vines, you
can fashion a beautiful wreath from your vines. Grapevines make a
beautiful, twiggy wreath, which can be readily decorated with ornaments
and bows. Grapevines are pliable when they are first cut, and as they
dry they become brittle, so make sure to fashion your wreath shortly
after taking your vine cuttings.
Shaping rose vines will require that you wear leather gloves to
avoid injury from the thorns. Depending on your climate, however, you
may be lucky enough to have flowers still blooming in your rosy
Christmas wreath. To complete this wreath, simply add a bow, and your
rose vine wreath is ready for display.
If you live in a colder climate, you will undoubtedly have
classic evergreen branches from which to fashion your
wreath. If you need to trim bottom branches off of your Christmas tree
to fit it into the tree stand, you can gather evergreen branches from
there as well. Using florist wire, you can shape your branches into a
circle to form a classic Christmas wreath.
Once your
wreath is formed:
Add some embellishments and a
bow. To create your bow, select a piece of wide ribbon and tie it in a
festive bow. Wrap florist wire around the center of it and attach it to
your wreath.
If you want to add some more interest to your
garden wreath, you can start by adding acorns or tiny pinecones. For a
little more punch, you can paint or spray acorns and pinecones with a
thin layer of glue and dust them with glitter. Now you are ready to hang
your garden grown, custom created, one of a kind Christmas wreath.
