Lil Grad Guy - Graduation Decoration
You need:
Yarn in school colors
Construction Paper
CD case or roll (to wrap yarn to make pompom)
Tacky Glue
Styrofoam Ball
Instructions:
Make a pompom by wrapping yarn around the CD case at least 100 times. Mix the yarn colors if you like.

Cut a 6" piece of yarn and slide it under wrapped yarn. Tie tightly into a double knot.

Turn over and cut completely through yarn as shown in picture. Turn pompom sideways and smooth down strands.

Trim Styrofoam ball so it sits upside down. Use tacky glue to glue upside down on the feet.

Cover the top and some of the sides with tacky glue. Separate the strands of the pompon to fit the ball. Press pompon into place. Arrange yarn.

To make cap, form long rectangle into a circle overlapping 1/2" and glue. Hold with clothes pin until dry. Run a bead a glue along one edge and attach it to square. To make a tassel, wrap yarn several times around two fingers. Leave about 6" of yarn on one end. Remove from fingers and pinch together at that end. Use another piece of yarn to wrap pinched strands together. Tie off. Cut open loops on other side. Push long piece of yarn through a hole punched in the top. Tie a knot to hold it into place and trim.
Use tacky glue to attach eyes, hands, and cap.

Cut a piece of paper to make a diploma. Roll and glue to hand.
High School Graduation Party Themes, Games and More
Make invitations into little diplomas. Use a calligraphy pen to script the
invitation, roll the paper up and tie with a colored ribbon.
Give each guest a white T-shirt and set out permanent markers so that they
can sign each other's shirts. They may not want to have the shirts on when signing
if the markers bleed through the shirt on to their clothes.
Make a time capsule. Have each person bring something that has to do with
their years in high school. Place this in a box and give to someone for safe
keeping until their ten year reunion.
Play pin the mustache on the teacher. Blow up a picture from the year book
of one of the teachers, your teen will give you an idea of which one. Make mustaches
out of cut out black construction paper. Place tape on the back of each mustache.
Then the game proceeds just like pin the tail on the donkey.
Video tape the party! Place the video camera on a tripod and just let it roll.
Don't try to have too many activities. Teens love to just get together, talk
and listen to music.
