Materials needed:

Craftsticks
Glue
Glitter ( optional)
Watercolor Paints (optional)
Crayons(optional)
Nylon Monofilament
Wax paper or news paper for working on

Instructions:

<1] Place the popsicle sticks in a square. (For this project we will call the top stick #1 the right one #2 the bottom one #3 and the left one #4 )

popsicle sticks put togther to make top of frame
<2] Place the tip of #1 stick on top of the #2 and #4 stick and glue. Place the tip of the #3 stick on top of the #2 and #4 stick and glue. You should now have a square picture frame.

3] You can at this point add another layer on to this by repeating step #2 or you can decorate this with paints , glitter , crayons, buttons, tin foil etc.

4] To add the hanger loop to your picture frame, cut a piece of string 15cm long. Measure down the left and right side ( on the back of the frame ) 2cm. Attach the string or wire with glue at the 2cm mark on both sides.

5] Let the glue dry fully before moving it.

6] At this point you can add your favorite picture or drawing.

To add a picture :

Make sure your picture is just a bit larger ,on all sides ,than the inside of the frame. *

Place the picture on the back side of the frame and make sure that it is how you want it to look *

Once you are happy with the way it looks and the picture has been trimmed ( if needed) then it is time to glue it in place. Using very little glue ,dab a small amount evenly around the frame on the back side. *

Place the picture right side up on a flat surface, then place the frame (glue side down) on the picture, making sure it is positioned correctly before pressing gently.

You now have an inexpensive, original picture frame :) You can make a bigger frame using tongue depressors or longer crafting sticks.

This project is also an inexpensive gift for a child to make and give to a loved one, any time of the year.
