The Menorail represents 40 acres dedicated to mud wallows, pastures, forests and riverbanks, a place where you will have the chance to see elephants, tigers, rhinos and wild horses.
While in the Bronx Zoo, make sure to attend the Bee Eater Buffet, where you will participate in the daily feeding of the white throated bee eaters. It will be an amazing show seeing those colorful birds hunting for their food. Another stop should be at the monkeys, where you can attend a training lesson, seeing the way the primates are trained to perform different actions.
If your kids are younger, then you should let them enjoy a ride on giant grasshoppers at the Bug Carousel; they will love riding those huge bugs. If you happen to get to the Bronx Zoo on Wednesday, the entrance will be free. Don't forget that on Christmas Day, on Thanksgiving Day and on New Year's Eve Day the Bronx Zoo is closed. Admission is $31.95 for a child and $41.95 an adult, a family membership is $225.
