New research on family life shows increased importance on family fun.
The research shows that while the pandemic challenged household harmony around the world, parents are entering a new phase of parenting - dubbed "Parenting with Purpose".
As a sweet reprieve from the chaos and crisis of pandemic headlines, it is good to hear that parents are more attached and committed to their children's success than ever.
Almost 90% say the pandemic reminds them of the importance of family time. 84% of parents surveyed feel spending money on family activities and outings is a necessity, with parents still allocating $385 to family fun each month despite concerns about the state of the economy.
87% of those surveyed said memories are more important than possessions, and 95% are eagerly looking forward to family trips that give their children new experiences. Unfortunately, fuel prices increased around 150%, and other has been a 33% surge in hotel costs across the US over the last year. Despite this expense, families plan to spend at least $4,860 on holidays in the next year.
